Baliflora Olfactory Laboratory

There are places whose scents are remembered much longer than landscapes. When the red spider lily, the white ginger lily and the fragipane bloom, encircling the streets and the lotus emerges from the smallest reflections of the water, the landscapes in turn become a fragrance. Among the flowers of Bali, the inhabitants have created the Frangipane, the emblem of their island, to offer to the gods of the Hindu pantheon. Centered around ceremonies, dances, offerings where scents and colors mingle until they become one, it seemed to me then that the scent of those flowers conveyed the beauty and diversity of the island.
